Ordinary Objects Typeface

Charmed is a typeface I handmade using one of my favorite cereals. This was an opportunity for me to combine digital design with physical mediums. I formed each letter by arranging the cereal in the intended shape and then photographing each one. After removing the background, I placed each letter onto the artboard. The symbols and characters at the bottom were done by cutting out the cereal box. While working on this project, I gained new skills in Photoshop by adjusting the brightness and saturation, as well as removing the background of the photos used. Additionally, I practiced using guides, rules, and grids to align the letter forms.
