The Adventures of Lost Larry is a book I illustrated and wrote during my semester studying abroad in Cork, Ireland. This book was inspired by a news article discussing how people throughout their careers may feel lost with no sense of direction. I chose to take a lighthearted approach to the story, featuring the main character Larry. The story tells the journey he takes to find his passion and sense of belonging. The illustrations are hand-drawn sketches from my notebook, reflecting my style. I combined sourced photography with illustrations to create visual interest and texture in the composition. This project was done over a full semester in which I learned more about managing a project by breaking down goals into specific steps.
