Suicide Prevention Campaign
This campaign was created for the 988 suicide and crisis hotline, formly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The mission behind the campaign is understanding the issues regarding mental health and suicide. The photos I selected are from past Life magazines advertisements during the post World War II era. Images show families and people that appear happy and living an ideal life. These contrast with the written copy used throughout the campaign. The goal of this is to create provoking and insightful media that brings attention to the cause to help prevent increasing rates of suicide. I want to create awareness through conversation and promote the new number hotline for quicker access to immediate help. Mental health is something I am a big advocate for and believe that it should be something that can be talked about without fear of judgment. Taking action is vital to help those in crisis and foster an environment for honest conversations.
